The Hamilton County Park District parks are open 365 days a year from dawn to dusk. Hours vary at individual facilities such as golf courses, visitor centers, boathouses and Nature's Niche Gift Shops. Covering more than 12,000 acres, a total of 12 individual parks are owned and maintained by the Hamilton County Park District and serve as home to 40 endangered or threatened animal species. The district offers a wide variety of recreational activities, including four lakes for fishing and boating, seven golf courses, two campgrounds, playgrounds, picnic shelters, and miles of trails.
